What is a Certified Holistic Health Practitioner & Nutritionist?
Holistic health practitioners are responsible for combining different alternative health remedies to help alleviate or lessen problems a patient may be experiencing.
Many people are beginning to recognize the interconnection of body, mind and spirit and the importance of treating the whole person rather than separate body parts and adopting a holistic approach. They are beginning to see the value in treating health conditions with natural, alternative and preventative methods.
They are highly qualified professionals who structure organic, whole food diets for patients based on how food can affect the body systems biochemically. They may consider digestive problems, metabolic issues, immune function, disease pathology, how the brain responds to certain chemicals and how by-products can harm a patient’s health.
The Principles of Natural Medicine:
A partnership between client and practitioner in the healing process.
Appropriate use of holistic health methods to facilitate the body’s innate healing response.
Consideration of all factors that influence health, wellness and disease, including mind, spirit and community as well as body.
Use of natural, effective, less-invasive interventions.
Use of the broader concepts of promotion of health and support in the prevention of illness.
